Why is the Joyn app requesting access to my location?

When you search for merchants in the Joyn app, we naturally want to show you the closest merchants. That is why the app asks you (once) to be allowed to use your location.

The app will only use your location when necessary to find a merchant near you. We do not keep background data.

Didn’t allow the app access to your location and still want to adjust this?
Then follow the steps below:

For iPhone:

1. Go to ‘Settings’.
2. Scroll all the way down until you find ‘Joyn’ and press it.
3. Make sure that under ‘Location, you see ‘When using’. If it says ‘Never’, press this line and change to ‘When using’.

For Android:

1. Go to ‘Settings’.
2. Select ‘Apps’ and tap the Joyn app.
3. Tap on ‘Permissions’.
4. Make sure the slider under location is turned on (green).
